Best of Paris

Spring is here but my eyes are already wandering on the wonderful fall/winter 09/10 designs of the Paris fashion week. I’ve been told I wear too much black but what’s a girl to do when her favorite designers send all black down the runway once again? Some would say open your horizons but I simply can’t stop admiring the work of these amazing designers. Who can resist Gareth Pugh’s gothic warrior, the androgyny vibes of Ann Demeulemeester’s designs, the 80’s glam aestethics of Balmain or the beautiful cuts of Margin Margiela’s collection? Rick Owens seems to be the only one stepping out the black comfort zone, perhaps frosty white is the new black of the season? I could deal with that…

Currently my wishlist for fall has extended with a pair of platform boots, spiked and studded clothing, thick knits, a heavily shoulder padded blazer and frosty white leather. Givenchy’s collection should be up tomorrow and I’m keeping my figers crossed it’s as good and inspiring as last year’s.

It’s Friday I’m in love

This is the last part of the weekend titled blog entries for now, a trilogy of some sort. Actually the title has another meaning because I’m pretty sure they will play the Cure at this goth club tonight. Somehow I find myself going to one again, perhaps it’s the good music or the fact that no matter what you wear there, no one is judging. The goths are quite easy on the dance floor too; no one pouring beer on my designer shoes and no one pushing or acting stupid. Quite a pleasant combination, I’d say.I’m not going all out with the theme but my outfit does have it’s gothic influences, the same ones we have seen on the runway lately. I bought the leather skirt in Stockholm even though I have two of them already occupying my closet. Somehow the older ones seem so casual after finding this one, though this zipper detailed skirt was a very random purchase due to it’s heavily discounted price. This means that I’m probably getting rid of my older versions and they will either end up on Ets

y or to an e-auction of some sort. I combined the leather skirt with an oddly cut Margiela tee that my boyfriend and I share, it follows the seams of the leather skirt perfectly.

It’s just another manic Monday, I wish it was Sunday

Is it totally passé to get inspired by past collections? I just decided that I’m gonna make it a new trend, ha! The outfit of today got it’s inspiration source from last winter’s Marc Jacobs collection but somehow it got mixed with a 90’s grungey school girl look, go figure. This is what I wore to the office today and yes, with the combat boots included. I’m usually always late from anywhere I go, so when I run to the bus stop every morning to barely catch the bus, good, anti-slipping shoes are needed. I learned this last winter when I almost broke my arm whilst in the action.

P.S. Today was very windy!

Everyday is like Sunday

This is exactly how all Sundays should be: sleeping late, sunshine, walks in the park, comfortable clothes, laying in bed and watching good movies with good food. Oh, I love Sundays!
