We’re living like skeletons

This black dress always makes me think of bones, so I’ve been calling it “the fish bone dress” ever since the mailman brought it to me.

Tonight should actually be a fun night, as we might go check out the great Joensuu 1685 (they’re absolutely the best Finnish band at the moment!) or meet up with friends at the local British pub. We’ll see how the night unfolds. Enjoy your weekend!

“There’s a gaping hole in the way we are
With nothing to fill it up anymore
No flesh no blood just broken bone

A frame to hang our lives from

We’re living like skeletons

Won’t someone wake the dead in me
Won’t someone shake the dust off me

Give me water give me bread

But don’t give me up for dead
We’re living like skeletons”

Glass Candy, part 1

Lately shoulder pads have been making a somewhat of a return into my closet (perfect for my frame, can’t argue with that), and this moderately shoulder padded dress is one of the scores I made in Berlin last week (Berlin posts still to come, I promise, just need to go over like 300 photographs!). The Ann Demeulemeester boots are also something new, though second hand; I made such a steal with those in Berlin as well. Man, I love that city (I’m actually booking tickets to go back for New Years with bunch of friends). The bag and the bracelet are also from there.

My partner in crime Laura was looking great as usual and we ended up having had oh-so-fun night that I have to make two separate posts to cover all the damage, so more about Glass Candy a bit later. Toodles for now, folks!

Turn on the bright lights

This weekend consisted of seeing good bands, reckless partying, taking hundreds of photos, laughter, crashing the backstage, hanging out with friends, and finally getting home on Sunday at 6AM from a crazy after party including a topless man and spin the bottle. I’ve also had the pleasure to hang out with the sweet Essi from the Fashion Overdose, as she crashed our pad during the MOP festival which overtook this city from Thursday to Saturday.
Essi and I have talked about fashion and blogging for hours and hours, luckily she didn’t get annoyed about the fact that I tend to become a chatter box when I’m passionate about something. Now my sleep deprived body needs its rest, so I’ll let Friday’s outfit pictures open a window to this busy weekend of mine. More pictures to come in the following posts, so stay tuned!

Once more with a feeling

Someone was wondering why I didn’t get on Hel-Looks whilst in Flow, but actually my boyfriend and I both did. So, here is once more Saturday’s outfit, and of course my boyfriend’s, too. The whole story can be found from here. Thank you Liisa and Sampo!

P.S. I’ve been asked to do blog posts about stylish office wear, our apartment, my shoe collection, and my top 10 favorite songs/bands at the moment. I will try to get to those as soon as I can. If you have any other suggestions, feel free to drop a line or email me anytime.
