Indiedays launch party

On Friday, 19 bloggers and one fashionable crowd gathered to the gallery Kalhama & Piippo to celebrate the start of the new blog media, Indiedays. Annie (<3) was spinning, the crowd was mingling, the champagne was bubbling, and afterwards we were treated with fine wining and dining, in good company of course. The late hours of the night were spent at the local rock joint, dancing into good tunes and going crazy on the dancefloor with my fellow bloggers. Oh what a night!

Caught by Elle

This picture is from last week’s Jimmy Choo for H&M VIP night, the Elle girls caught us right when we got in (hence my goofy face). I’m wearing almost all new purchases from Berlin, and this time my outfit was heavily YSL inspired (I can’t help it, every time I look at the gray peg leg pants, all I can see is the fab YSL fall 08 RTW collection).

To completely honest, I wasn’t too keen on the shoes of the Choo collection (most of them looked cheaply made and were too blingy for my taste) but what I was actually hunting for were the accessories. I really couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw how nuts people went over the designs, girls can be so brutal to one another! Luckily nobody was fighting over my picks, so I got out without any bruises or further damage. I ended up coming home with the double wrap leather belt and a few toned down bracelets, including the ones we got in the goodiebags (I got everything I was hunting for). The best part of the night was meeting up with the other style bloggers that were invited to this event, we had a blast!

A huge thank you for Satu and Jenni at Elle for the picture, more pictures of the stylish guests can be found here.

Glass Candy, part 2

Words can’t describe how happy I was to hear that Glass Candy, a band that I’ve once traveled across the Baltic sea to see live once, was coming to play in my little hometown, Tampere. The gig was held on last Wednesday and even though the turn out was rather low key, the show was amazing and the band energetic as ever. A special shout-out to Johnny, Ida and Desire’s Meg for taking us backstage for a night to remember. Good times!

Glass Candy, part 1

Lately shoulder pads have been making a somewhat of a return into my closet (perfect for my frame, can’t argue with that), and this moderately shoulder padded dress is one of the scores I made in Berlin last week (Berlin posts still to come, I promise, just need to go over like 300 photographs!). The Ann Demeulemeester boots are also something new, though second hand; I made such a steal with those in Berlin as well. Man, I love that city (I’m actually booking tickets to go back for New Years with bunch of friends). The bag and the bracelet are also from there.

My partner in crime Laura was looking great as usual and we ended up having had oh-so-fun night that I have to make two separate posts to cover all the damage, so more about Glass Candy a bit later. Toodles for now, folks!
