Hunting for witches

I don’t know how it’s with the other bloggers but it’s not very often that my beloved photographer actually wants to take my pictures, and usually the process requires a long  persuasion and generous bribing to get the job done. So when he says  “today your outfit is looking so good that I don’t even mind taking the pictures”, I must have done something right. Even though a kid in a stroller had yelled “mom, is that a witch?” when I walked passed him. I chose to ignore the incident with amusement, and marked this day down as a huge progress in our photographer-subject relationship instead. This really might be the beginning of a beautiful friendship, or maybe I just need to keep the boyfriend approved outfits coming. Either way is fine with me.

Lumi love

For awhile now, I’ve been looking for an elegant bag with an attitude, that would be compact yet have room for my wallet, phone, SLR camera, umbrella and some beauty products; All the essential that a girl and a style blogger needs on a daily basis. Fortunately, a few weeks ago THE perfect bag magically came to me in our summer party, as I found this divine leather and canvas mix Lumi Twist Supermarket Bag in my goodie bag. It’s literally like a match made in heaven: The bag has a touch of Avant Garde (a fashion movement close to my heart), the perfect blend of feminine and masculine (just the way I like it), and easy to wear from day to night (increases it’s life span and wearability).

The bag comes extremely handy when I travel to Paris in a few weeks, and it  certainly won’t fade out into the stylish crowd of the fashion week – quite the contrary!

I dreamt that I was dreaming, that I was awake in a dream

Happiness comes in different shapes and forms. This time it came in a very familiar gray box, despite the little delay caused by the lovely Eyjafjallajoekull’s ashes and the Finnish post office. I’m literally in seventh heaven right now: After a two years long wait they are finally mine, the Rick Owens wedge ankle boots! I just might have to sleep with them on tonight, that’s how euphoric I feel. Lots of outfit pictures to come with these bad boys, that’s a promise.

Dark cabaret

It’s actually a tough job to make these Henry Holland tights look non-vulgar but I think I managed to pull it off with last night’s outfit. The rest of the ensemble has to be kept quite simple, otherwise it will just turn into a hot mess. I’m loving how sturdy and easy these tights are, no need to worry about carter-belt squeezing your hips or the socks rolling down; It’s all in one package, secure and tight.  I can guarantee this is not the last time you will see these guys…

Enjoy your Sunday!
