Say hello to my new three legged friend, Mr. Gorillapod

Only a blogger could ask for such a selfish b-day present. Introducing my new friend, Mr. Gorillapod. This little three legged alien looking thing is every blogger’s dream toy and a great help for taking those totally self-centered photos of oneself. You can twist the legs as you like and attach it to anything, I even tried it on a door handle and it stayed there and was ready for a picture. Truly fantastic! I got the mid-size one but these come in different sizes/lengths. My pod weighs only 165 grams so it’s fairly light to take anywhere you go (no need for those heavyweight tripods anymore). Read more info here if interested.

My new friend Mr. Gorillapod and my camera

I got this little fella from my parents (after requesting it of course) when I had a b-day dinner at their place on Sunday. The days are getting so gray that it’s hard to snap an outfit photo even during daytime. That’s one thing Mr. Gorillapod can’t help with, unfortunately; however, this is what I wore on Sunday.

Greetings from the land of fjords!

I’m back from the wonderful trip to Norway. The scenery is really amazing and the city of Tromso is so pretty! Most of the clothes I wore on the trip were just comfortable travel clothes and since it was really cold up there, I wore my trench coat everywhere I went. I’d rather post only scenery pictures but since this is a fashion blog, I’ll post the outfits that I wore. If only the weather would have been a bit warmer, I would have had so much more to offer.

We also visited my family’s cabin which is located in Rovaniemi (a small city in northern Finland), and believe it or not, I actually managed to do a little shopping there. I will introduce my new shoes in a later blog entry. Next week I’m going to Stockholm, so more decent outfits and shopping to come for sure…

Greetings from Ruisrock and the sunny Turku! I have now officially seen Kent, the National and Interpol live. All the gigs were amazing and the weather was surprisingly sunny, considering it was originally supposed to rain that day.I wanted a comfortable outfit, especially with comfortable shoes, since you have to walk few kilometres to the festival area. So, I wore my high waisted shorts with a band tee and Converse chucks (which by the way with skinny jeans, seemed to be the uniform of most of the indie kids who came to see the above mentioned shows). In the night it got very cold, so I brought my Monki abstract sweater to keep me warm.

Shorts: Gina Tricot

Kent

The National

Interpol

Strangest thing happened while I was watching the Interpol show: a reader of my blog approached me and gave me a hug. How on earth could she spot me in the middle of hundreds of people? I thought it was really cute, so hi to you again, whoever you are! I also found out that I was spotted by an ex-fashion blogger on my way walking to the area, how cool! Small world, or festival, I shoud say…

P.S. My new camera arrived today, meaning better quality photos to come.
