Silvester

Hi kids, I’m back from Berlin! I had a wonderful time there with my friends (thanks Essi, Tuomas & Satu), partied like a madman on New Years weekend aka Silvester (the clubs in Berlin don’t close until sunrise, if even then) and shopped until I dropped (or rather maxed out my credit card haha). Unfortunately, during my stay the temperatures were quite cold, so I didn’t feel like taking my camera out too much. Even though my visit was consecrated mainly to shopping and partying, I did manage to visit the Neue Nationalgalerie, which I highly recommend checking out if you’re in town.

I hope you all had a great New Years and let’s hope that 2010 will bring us all good things!

Glass Candy, part 2

Words can’t describe how happy I was to hear that Glass Candy, a band that I’ve once traveled across the Baltic sea to see live once, was coming to play in my little hometown, Tampere. The gig was held on last Wednesday and even though the turn out was rather low key, the show was amazing and the band energetic as ever. A special shout-out to Johnny, Ida and Desire’s Meg for taking us backstage for a night to remember. Good times!

This is our decision, to live fast or die young, we got the vision, now let’s have some fun!

As promised, here are some more pictures from the past weekend. These are all from Saturday’s craziness, I can’t recall the last time when I’ve had such a random and fun night in this city. We ended up seeing the New Wine and the Finnish electro legend Op:l Bastards at MOP, who also hung out with us at the backstage for a bit. In the end it was just our gang invading the space, eating their leftover sandwhiches and sodas. We also ended up to the strangest after party with DJ decks and spin the bottle (don’t ask me how and what went on after that).

I wore my newest purchase, the Rick Owens DRKSHDW tunic dress which is so comfortable and well tailored that I literally want to live in it from now on. Essi was looking fabulous as always, and we just had to take some mutual shots to show how we almost have the same profile! She really feels like the little sister that I never had, that’s how similar we are in so many ways.

Somebody lurks in the shadows

Ten points to the reader who guesses what I therapy shopped from the online discounts a few weeks ago. This amazing designer piece is hanging on my clothing rack at the moment, and will get it’s premier this weekend at the Monsters of Pop festival. If you are in the Tampere area, MOP is definitely something worth checking out!

More about this grey, shadowy dream piece to come. Now I’m off to watch one of the best TV-shows at the moment which goes by the name True Blood. Fits the mood of this garment perfectly.
