Guidi

When you truly love something, it’s worth a wait. Like these custom ordered, hand-made Guidi boots that took three months to receive, testing my patience like none other. Now that they are finally here, safe and sound, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I predict a beautiful and long lasting future for us, wherever it might be.

The sandal hunt

You know when you see the perfect shoes but they have run out of your size everywhere, and nothing else seems to fulfil your dreams than the specific pair you fell in love with? You give up the search and think you have lost the game for good. Then all of a sudden, a second chance comes, and you find something even better with a -50% mark down. It’s about the best feeling in the world when you know that all along, it was meant to be this way.

So here they are, my new Haider Ackermann sandals, on their way from Sweden. I know summer has already passed it’s half way mark but I don’t care, since the look out  for the right pair of sandals started already this spring. I’m crossing my fingers that the size is right, which we’ll see it in about a week.

I dreamt that I was dreaming, that I was awake in a dream

Happiness comes in different shapes and forms. This time it came in a very familiar gray box, despite the little delay caused by the lovely Eyjafjallajoekull’s ashes and the Finnish post office. I’m literally in seventh heaven right now: After a two years long wait they are finally mine, the Rick Owens wedge ankle boots! I just might have to sleep with them on tonight, that’s how euphoric I feel. Lots of outfit pictures to come with these bad boys, that’s a promise.

Shape shifter

I was probably the only blogger who had not stressed so much about the outfit selection for the Indiedays launch party, as I had mine planned already two weeks ago when I brought back this layered dress from Berlin. I was looking for something that would go well with the Rick Owens wedges I had bought just a few days before my trip, and this dress completely hit the spot: It’s layered, versatile, made of jersey and organza silk, and as “me” as a me can get. I love how you can make it a hoodie, a cape or even give it a sporty look by just gathering all the layers on the front. This won’t be the last time you’ll see this new friend of mine…
