New in my wardrobe: A sculpture-like Rick Owens leather jacket. It took me four years of lusting to actually pull the trigger and now I could not be happier. As if it was tailor made to fit my body, I’m enchanted by its material, color, seam work and shape. Is it wrong to love an inanimate object? I surely hope not because this one is a keeper. For years to come.

Summer’s end

Summer is almost officially over and with the falling leaves you can definitely feel that season is changing once again. I spent my fall like Sunday visiting my aunt’s art exhibition at the culture center of Voipaala and picking apples, cherries and plums from the trees of a baroque garden that was hidden behind the main house. A beautiful day to sum up this summer, to turn a new leaf, and head towards new adventures which I will tell more about later this week.

Venice

I am still going over the massive amount of pictures from my recent L.A. trip, and the task seems never ending, so bare with me. First I thought of making a picture diary type of post but soon realized that there are so many images, that I have to break them in to smaller sections. These pictures were taken in Venice during our last full day in California, after visiting one of the most interesting museums I have ever been in, the Museum of Jurassic Technology. To borrow my friend’s words, “it is the kind of place that if Rick Owens would put up a museum, it would end up looking something like this“. And after stepping into the place, we all knew why. If you are in town and want to experience something totally different and extraordinary, head there. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
