Back from Paris!

I’m finally back from the beautiful, yet hotter than hell Paris with a little cold and blistered feet. All and all it was a great trip, minus the heat of course.

I’m uploading all the pictures from my trip and the fashion shows tonight, so expect a lot of posts to come in the following days!

Our apartment in Marais where my boyfriend and I stayed with five fashionable Swedes.
Shoes in from the left, clockwise: Guidi, Damir Doma, the Viridi-anne, Rick Owens, self-made wedges, Maison Martin Margiela, Minimarket, Rick Owens and Ann Demeulemeester in the center.

Au revoir!

Perhaps it’s the Paris mania taking control and making me feel French or something but somehow stripes and these Sonia Rykiel for H&M platform sandals were a must yesterday. If someone is wondering why on earth I’m still wearing a beanie and a leather jacket in the middle of June, well, let’s just say that the summer heat here in Finland hasn’t exactly arrived yet, so layering is still in order. I’m hoping Paris will treat us good and give the well-deserved summer break that we’ve been after.

I promise to post and tweet from the Paris fashion week as much as time permits, I’m pretty sure it will hectic though. Now I better run or otherwise I will miss my plane! Au revoir!

Chain mail

A couple of days ago the postman brought me a pleasant mail which came in the form of black leather and steel chains. The reason for this new venture in my wardrobe is that in our summer party, we all got a gift card to the gTie boutique, and after spending hours admiring the shop’s many offerings, I decided to go with the Spaideri shoulder chain. When I finally got to try the piece on, I knew I had made the right choice: This little thing shall spicen up any outfit and will provide a simple solution to those days when necklaces and bracelets seem too much. It’s just what I needed!

If you also fancy heavy weight jewelry and accessories, do check out the gTie web store or visit the physical boutique in Helsinki, Finland on Pursimiehenkatu 11. gTie delivers internationally and the designer Jenni also does custom made pieces, in case you’re looking for something more specific.

Paris, mon amour!

This whole week I’ve been filled with excitement because next week I’m leaving to Paris for ten days! From June 24th to 27th I’ll be attending men’s fashion week, and of course reporting about all the hussle and bussle that’s happening out there. If you follow me on Twitter, I’ll promise to tweet all the latest scoop from the city of fashion and romance. I have a few tricks in my sleeve, so stay tuned!

I also need your guys’ help!!! The last time I pondered the streets of Paris was in 2004 and I’m guessing things have probably changed quite a lot, so if you Paris goers got any suggestions on shopping, dining and entertainment (such as good clubs with my kind of music), I would appreacite any advice I can get! So hit me with your best Paris tips!
