Mesh & lace

A rainy weekend indoors calls for relaxed clothes and taking out last summer’s favorite slouching shorts. To make things more interesting, I added the mesh top and the lace bustier to give a touch of luxury to an otherwise ordinary outfit. Now that I think about it, I really should give this MM6 by Maison Martin Margiela mesh top more wear, as the last time it was worn was over a year ago. I don’t know how great pieces like this one end up getting lost in one’s closet, that’s a mystery that needs to be solved.

Have a great weekend!

Everybody else is doing it, so why can't we?

Today I gave in to something I’ve been trying to avoid for a long time: I joined Twitter. I suppose there comes a time when the modern technology overpowers you, leaving you feeling left out when you’re not on top of the things. You might also wonder  why a person who is most often annoyed by the pointless Facebook status messages, is joining a service that is solely made for that purpose, well, I feel that when the “tweets” are in a completely separate feed, they’re less annoying and actually turn into (mark my words), interesting.

So if you want to hear what’s up and when (and all the randomness that’s going on in my life), do follow my tweets here (or by clicking the Twitter icon in the right sidebar). I promise to step up the game with frequent updates.

Since this an informative post, I’ll add here that you can also follow me on Bloglovin here and on Facebook here. So click click click!

Hunting for witches

I don’t know how it’s with the other bloggers but it’s not very often that my beloved photographer actually wants to take my pictures, and usually the process requires a long  persuasion and generous bribing to get the job done. So when he says  “today your outfit is looking so good that I don’t even mind taking the pictures”, I must have done something right. Even though a kid in a stroller had yelled “mom, is that a witch?” when I walked passed him. I chose to ignore the incident with amusement, and marked this day down as a huge progress in our photographer-subject relationship instead. This really might be the beginning of a beautiful friendship, or maybe I just need to keep the boyfriend approved outfits coming. Either way is fine with me.

Lumi love

For awhile now, I’ve been looking for an elegant bag with an attitude, that would be compact yet have room for my wallet, phone, SLR camera, umbrella and some beauty products; All the essential that a girl and a style blogger needs on a daily basis. Fortunately, a few weeks ago THE perfect bag magically came to me in our summer party, as I found this divine leather and canvas mix Lumi Twist Supermarket Bag in my goodie bag. It’s literally like a match made in heaven: The bag has a touch of Avant Garde (a fashion movement close to my heart), the perfect blend of feminine and masculine (just the way I like it), and easy to wear from day to night (increases it’s life span and wearability).

The bag comes extremely handy when I travel to Paris in a few weeks, and it  certainly won’t fade out into the stylish crowd of the fashion week – quite the contrary!
