Welcome to the house of fun

The final photo shoot for Tell Me A Story Vintage is now over. Hopefully the store will be open sometime next week. Before that actual shoot, Ranna and I decided to take some funny pictures since our outfits totally matched.

Later on I had my brothers 20th birthday and decided to wear these shorts which are by the way going to be auctioned in our vintage store. The shoes are also going to be available at the shop.

Greetings from Ruisrock and the sunny Turku! I have now officially seen Kent, the National and Interpol live. All the gigs were amazing and the weather was surprisingly sunny, considering it was originally supposed to rain that day.I wanted a comfortable outfit, especially with comfortable shoes, since you have to walk few kilometres to the festival area. So, I wore my high waisted shorts with a band tee and Converse chucks (which by the way with skinny jeans, seemed to be the uniform of most of the indie kids who came to see the above mentioned shows). In the night it got very cold, so I brought my Monki abstract sweater to keep me warm.

Shorts: Gina Tricot

Kent

The National

Interpol

Strangest thing happened while I was watching the Interpol show: a reader of my blog approached me and gave me a hug. How on earth could she spot me in the middle of hundreds of people? I thought it was really cute, so hi to you again, whoever you are! I also found out that I was spotted by an ex-fashion blogger on my way walking to the area, how cool! Small world, or festival, I shoud say…

P.S. My new camera arrived today, meaning better quality photos to come.

Sneak peek of Tell Me A Story Vintage

Yesterday Ranna and I took some outift pictures for the much talked about vintage store we are starting up. The store is called Tell Me A Story Vintage and we will make a separate blog and Myspace to feature the upcoming listings and provide the latest news. Tell Me A Story will have clothes, accessories and some shoes.

Here are some teasers for you to enjoy…

The pictures were taken on my apartment’s backyard. Perhaps I should start using it as a shooting place more often, what do you think?

Today, being independence day in the States, I figured that the picture above would be a perfect outfit to fit for this occasion. Now I’m off to feast some American treats…

P.S. My new Canon PowerShot G9 is on its way from the States. Yay!

Cropped croppedy crop

Ugh, just as I had said yesterday that my inspiration was gone out the window and flushed in the rain, today it seemed as if the dreadful weather had taken a break. Finally there was some sunshine, and as I had a “home office” day (meaning I worked from home), I could actually dress in whatever my heart desired. I also visited my parents place and my boyfriend and I took some outfit pictures.I have had these cropped black jeans in my closet for awhile now but this is the third time I am wearing them. I’ve been trying to save them since they are the only black jeans that have not faded and still look brand new. They are 30 inch length, so they crop right at my ankles. Today it was very windy, so I wore my beloved abstract Monki sweater over the tank top.

Sweater: Monki

I’m gonna seriously do some sun dance if this cold weather won’t end. Could some of my dear California friends send that heatwave this way, please? All my cute sun dresses are just hanging in the closet waiting to be worn. So I’m begging you, send us some sun and do it fast…
